The report consists of a descriptive analysis of the data collected from the survey on the distribution of dyslipidemia and hypertension in adults. The conditions are regarded as major risks to the health of the populace. The study included 1500 participants of which 1502.52% had dyslipidemia, and 21.40% had hypertension. Increased triglyceride levels of 20.7% and elevated HDL cholesterol levels of 18% were examples of other types of dyslipidemia. The level of hypertension was classified according to modified version of hypertension classification scheme which is estimated from blood pressure ray readers as stage 1(16.7%) and stage 2(10%). The results are consistent with the findings of other studies raised earlier in which adults with similar conditions were reported. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the concepts of prevention through prophylaxis and monitoring as effective ways of countering cardiovascular diseases, dyslipidemia and hypertension in particular.
